Collection: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens - Greenwood

For over half a century, this beautiful plot of land has been dedicated to the families and residents of Indiana. Forest Lawn Memory Gardens was established in 1956 when Fred Meyer purchased an expanse of land in Greenwood. His mission to serve Indiana families became the foundation of this cemeterys legacy.

In 1986, the Meyer family expanded their services even further when Indiana state law allowed cemeteries and funeral homes to combine. As a full-service funeral home, Forest Lawn Funeral Home offers funeral and cremation services ranging from simple to elaborate, ensuring that each familys unique needs are met. We believe that every life is special, and we strive to honor each one with a personalized tribute and professional care.

The cemetery now includes mausoleums, cremation niches, and a serene chapel, along with peaceful open spaces of grass and trees. Thoughtfully placed statuary enhances the well-maintained grounds. The Veterans Garden is a beloved place of reflection, while the Christus Garden offers a calm and tranquil setting. Many families find comfort in the Praying Hands monument on the mausoleum wall, appreciating its message of support and peace.

Today, the Forest Lawn staff continues its tradition of providing compassionate and personal service to the greater Indianapolis community. We remain committed to guiding and supporting families during their time of need.
