Laken Nicole Chestnut, 24, died unexpectedly at her home, Tuesday, 12/15/2015

From an early age, Laken was involved in all sports including PeeWee Basketball, Farm Teams Baseball and Soccer. She began Wrestling while in Kindergarten and played Little League Baseball through the seventh grade. She played in the expanded seasons with all sports, and annually attended basketball and soccer camps. While soccer was her favorite sport, she was beginning to show special talents in Basketball. This year she was also involved in Track. Laken lived to compete.

Laken’s family remembers her as the consummate Daughter, sister, cousin and friend. His mom said she was a ‘social butterfly’. She also said that she kept McDonald’s in business. She particularly enjoyed bacon, earning the nickname ‘Laken Bacon’. Always on the move, she enjoyed playing with his cousins, playing video games, swimming and hunting. He loved spending time with her grandparents.
