Natalie Mc Guinness

Limerick on 01 January 1992

Sligo on 28 October 2015

23 years

Following Natalie’s wishes, a beautiful service was held in St James’ Church, Easky and later she was buried in Churchill Cemetery, Dromore West surrounded by all her friends and family from near and far, who came to be with her on this heart breaking day that never should have been.

Before the service, former students from Colaiste Iascaigh formed a guard of honour as Natalie’s loved ones walked behind her to the church.

During the service, her favourite songs were played, well those that were suitable anyway, Last Request by Paulo Nutini and A Thousand Years by Christina Perri. Natalie’s family brought gifts that she cherished including pyjamas which anyone who knew Natalie would always expect to see her in them, a book and a picture of her little bichon frise Phoebe whom she dearly loved.

Natalie’s father John Joe spoke of her beautiful life and explained how bubbly and confident she was and how she could light up any room. He spoke of the love that Natalie had for her mum Cathy, brother Dean, sister Jodie and her little niece Alexis whom she adored. Natalie always loved children and they loved her too especially those within the community.

After the service, we continued to follow her to the burial service where she wanted to be so she can be with her dad in the future. As she was laid to rest we released balloons with messages for her that we had previously written sharing memories and moments that often only we knew.

It was a day of laughter and tears that Natalie would have loved, she was the centre of attention and all of the people she loved were there to see her.

Natalie will forever be remembered for the beautiful, caring person she was and this is a place for you to be able to write her a message or light a candle, she will be with us forever, watching over us, now we must live on in her memory.
