Brooking Cemetery - Kansas City

Brooking Cemetery, one of the oldest cemeteries in Kansas City, rests on the original farmstead of Alvan Brooking. The cemetery’s earliest recorded burial dates back to 1840, preserving nearly two centuries of local history.

Still owned by the Brooking family, the cemetery has been carefully maintained and operated by the Pence family on behalf of the Brooking Cemetery Association for the past 76 years.
