Collection: Lawncrest Memorial Park - Redding

Lawncrest Chapel, originally called Linn and Fulkerth Funeral Home, was established by George Stetler in 1950 in downtown Redding. George also owned a fledgling cemetery on Lawncrest Road that had been used as a golf course.

George had aspirations of merging Linn and Fulkerth Funeral Home with Lawncrest Cemetery, and in 1974, he built a large, Colonial-style building adjacent to the cemetery and renamed the property Lawncrest Chapel and Lawncrest Memorial Park. Eventually, Lawncrest Road was widened and renamed Cypress Avenue, which is where we are located now. In 1983, Rudy Balma purchased the business, and today the funeral home and cemetery are part of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers.
