Collection: Mount Olivet Cemetery - Great Falls

Mount Olivet Cemetery was established in 1928 to serve the Catholic community of Great Falls and central Montana. It followed the city's first Catholic burial ground, Calvary Cemetery, which had been founded in 1896. When the Diocese announced the creation of Mount Olivet, it invited families to relocate the remains and grave markers of their loved ones from Calvary Cemetery to the new site. However, the exact number of families who took this opportunity remains unknown. Calvary Cemetery, located to the south, still exists but is only sporadically maintained.
