Olive Lawn Memorial Park is one of the few remaining family operated cemeteries in Southern California. Originally established as Graceland Cemetery in 1924, the name was changed to Olive Lawn Memorial Park when the Peebler Family purchased the park in the 1950’s. Olive Lawn is now operated by third and fourth generations of the Peebler Family.
The Peeblers have a strong commitment to the community. They have raised their children and grandchildren here, and have been active in community affairs for over fifty years. As part of this commitment to the community, the Peeblers, in conjunction with the local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9148, hold an annual observance of Memorial Day. This public event has been held on the Olive Lawn cemetery grounds each year since 1961.
