Collection: Sheffield Cemetery - Kansas City

Sheffield Cemetery, Kansas City’s second oldest Jewish cemetery, was established in 1900 by Congregation Tifereth Israel. In 1920, ownership transferred to Congregation Beth Israel Abraham Voliner after Tifereth merged with several smaller congregations to form Kehilath Israel Congregation. Today, Sheffield Cemetery is the resting place of over 5,500 individuals and has been undergoing continuous renovations since 2003 to preserve its historical significance and beauty.
